Lagandorain is a working croft and is home to our pedigree black Hebridean sheep.
The cottage (on the left of the picture) adjoins the crofthouse and is simply and comfortably furnished. Sleeping four to six, there is a twin bedroom, bathroom and kitchen downstairs. The sitting room (with sofa bed) and double bedroom are upstairs and offer panoramic views to Staffa and the Treshnish isles. The sitting room has an excellent collection of books and board games and there's a children's library in the downstairs bedroom. The cottage is centrally heated (five hours a day) with back-up electric fires in each room. All bedding and towels are provided. Iona Hostel is tucked unobtrusively into the landscape, and out of sight of the cottage. It has been awarded four stars by Visit Scotland. |
